moPTI Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
moPTI ("we") provides vehicle pre-trip inspection software for commercial fleets. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account data: your full name, phone number, and preferred language, provided by your fleet company when your account is created. - Inspection data: photos and videos of vehicles you capture during inspections, your notes, and your electronic signature certifying each inspection. - Location: approximate location captured at the time of an inspection, used to document where the inspection occurred. - Device data: a push notification token (to deliver reminders and alerts) and basic app diagnostics.
How we use it
Inspection records exist to document vehicle condition for your fleet company, as required by U.S. DOT regulations (49 CFR 396.11). Photos are watermarked with the moPTI mark, date/time, and driver name to serve as verifiable records. AI analysis of photos is used to flag potential vehicle defects for human review by your company's staff.
Who can see your data
Your inspection records are visible to you and to authorized staff of your fleet company (dispatchers, safety managers, mechanics, administrators). We do not sell personal data. We do not share data with third parties except service providers that host and process it on our behalf (cloud hosting, media storage, push notification delivery), bound by confidentiality.
Data retention
Inspection records are retained for as long as your fleet company requires them for regulatory compliance. Account data is retained while your account is active. Your company may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
Your choices
Push notifications can be disabled in your device settings. Location permission can be declined; inspections will still work.
Children
moPTI is a professional tool for commercial drivers and is not directed at children under 18.
